Guatemala Deaf Ministries now has a sponsorship program that allows people to choose a student, pray for them and support their education. When a child is sponsored, they are receiving a language, an education, a knowledge about Jesus Christ, and community. Prayer is the important ingredient and we have seen an improvement in the attitude and academics since the program began. We are hoping to see these children grow and mature into men and women of God.
Our desire is to raise up the next generation of deaf leaders and teachers thus fulfilling our Mission Statement of "Teaching the Deaf to reach the Deaf for the Lord Jesus Christ".
A gift of $35 per month helps us provide for the educational needs of the students. These needs include uniforms, school supplies, field trips and other activities throughout the year. We also provide transportation since most cannot afford to get to school. Afternoon lunches and vocational classes are provided for children over 12 years of age.
The process of starting to sponsor a child is simple. You may choose a student from the link below or we can select one for you. Then click on the registration link below and fill out the form. Once you have submitted the form, our Stateside Administrator, Cara, will send you an email with more information on your student and how to give.
